Diesel Dogs Contracting is seeking a heavy equipment operator to assist with residential and complex commercial construction projects. We are a company who values hard working and talented operators, and with 30 years of being in business, we want you!

Requirements

• Valid Class D driver's license.
• CDL Class A or B is a plus but not required.
• Must have 2 years of proficient experience running excavators, dozers, skid loaders, pay loaders, etc.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of GPS Technology is a plus.

Position Responsibilities

• Operation of heavy equipment in a competent and efficient manner.
• Maintenance of heavy equipment: Greasing, fueling, checking fluid levels.
• Able to read plans at an advanced level, along with survey stakes.
• Being able to work to plans and specifications.
• Must be able to communicate with crew members and customers on job clarifications and details.
• Knowing grades, being able to read grades, and follow them.
• Leadership: a positive, powerful, and winning attitude always wins and reflects your crew.
• Daily job tickets, explaining what was accomplished each day or what has changed.
